Ancillary Benefits

Ancillary benefits are a secondary type of health insurance coverage that covers miscellaneous medical expenses that are incurred during a stay at the hospital. The definition of ancillary benefits means it can cover expenses such as ambulance transportation, blood, drugs, and medical supplies like bandages.

This past year I learned the importance of having ancillary benefits like Hospitalization coverage. As most of you know, I fell and broke my hip in July this year. I was covered by a plan that paid me directly for each segment of my treatment. This meant that the deductible, co-insurance and copays that I owed were covered by payments made to me directly through my ancillary plan. I even had money left over to take care of the earnings gap I experienced while I was off work. It was a great blessing. It is a very affordable insurance program and we can help you learn more about it. Just call us or e-mail us and we will get together with you to see if it is right for you.
